Generational Impact Finance is a wholly owned Zimbabwean Company registered with the registrar of companies in terms of the laws of Zimbabwe of the Companies Act [Chapter 24:03]. The Company is regulated and supervised by the Reserve bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) and governed by the Microfinance Act [Chapter 24:30]. Generational Impact Finance received his perpetual Licence on May 2021, and the Licence number is 000808. A six-member Board has been appointed to lead an experienced Management Team.
We are providing a wide range of products and services to the Micro, Small and Medium entrepreneurs (MSME) and low-income earners in Zimbabwe. We promise to provide innovative products and services to our clients. GIF believes and adheres to the “Client Protection Principles” and seeks to place its clients’ needs at the center of its business model.
Since Inception, Generational Impact Finance is currently relying on Loan from the Wholesale facility and two local Microfinance Banks as well as the shareholder Loans. These Loans are short-term and very expensive which is affecting the pricing model as well the current tenure of the Loans to clients.

Masuna Chikami
Managing Director
Bio
Masuna Chikami is the core-founder and Managing Director of Generational Impact Finance. Mr. Chikami has over 27 years of practical and hands on experience in Microfinance. He has established Greenfield MFIs in Zimbabwe, Nigeria and Ghana. From 2006 to 2018, he has worked for Accion International helping several microfinance banks in Sub-Saharan Africa. He was instrumental in setting up Accion Microfinance Bank in Nigeria. As Project Manager for Accion International, Mr. Chikami has led the Africa Technical Assistance Teams, strengthening microfinance bank operations in Nigeria, Ghana, Tanzania, Cameroon, Haiti, Uganda, Malawi and Zimbabwe. He has extensive experience in strategy and business planning, credit operations management, credit policy formulation, credit process re-engineering & process mapping and training credit teams.

Liberty Masocha
Executive Director – Operations
Bio
Mr. Masocha is a core-founder and Head of Operations for Generational Impact Finance. He is a seasoned microfinance professional who has worked in the microfinance industry for over 12 years with strong expertise in credit risk analysis, loan appraisals, credit monitoring, and portfolio quality management for both rural and urban communities. Mr. Masocha is a Masters holder in Applied Entrepreneurship and currently pursuing a Masters in Development Finance. He is also a holder of a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) Degree in Banking and Finance, Executive Diploma in Microfinance and Executive Certificate in Microfinance and Entrepreneurship

Fredrick Mapfumo
Operations Manager
Bio
Mr. Fredrick Mapfumo has more than 20 years’ experience in the Microfinance industry with over 12 years of experience at management level. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration majoring in Marketing Management from the Institute of Marketing Management (IMM), Higher National Diploma in Marketing Management (HEXCO) and a diploma in Training Management from the Institute of Personnel Management Zimbabwe+ (IPMZ). He has experience working with developmental partners such as Care International, SNV and Mercy Corp in their various projects

Memory Tsoro
Finance and Admin Manager
Bio
Memory Tsoro is a is a qualified Accountant with an Honors Degree in Accounting and currently studying ACCA. She has 10 years Post Qualification Experience in various industries, FMCG Distribution, Chemical Distribution, Commercial Printing and Microfinance. She has become excellent in managing Microfinance funds since 2016 at Thrive Microfinance and joined GIF in Jan 2022

Heather Bota
Partnerships and Business Development Manager
Bio
Mrs. Heather Bota is the partnerships and business development lead. She holds a degree in Environmental Sciences and Sociology and has over 7 years’ experience working in the NGO industry specifically around women’s economic empowerment and financial inclusion among rural entrepreneurs. Mrs. Bota has facilitated the establishment of key centers of excellence among rural entrepreneurs in the areas of farming, arts and crafts and apiculture.
